Stephanie Skura, “major American experimentalist” (Dance 2wice) and Bessie award-winner, has researched, performed and taught movement and performance for three decades, with deep respect for individual diversity and subconscious realms. She worked closely with Joan Skinner for 12 years as core SRT faculty and teacher-trainer, co-creating the SRT Teacher Certification Program.
In 2008 Stephanie instigated Open Source Forms (OSF), deeply rooted in and fluidly expanded from SRT. OSF trains and empowers teachers to move the practice into the future, and researches ways OSF can enhance learning in diverse fields. A former New Yorker directing a touring dance company, Stephanie lives near Seattle and works worldwide.
