Polly Hudson is a teacher, dance artist, gardener, and dance activist. She makes performance and screendance works that have been shown over a 25-year period in the UK and internationally. She is a certified teacher of SRT, which underpins her approaches to making art and to daily activities.
Polly’s PhD examined notions of process and creativity within SRT. She is currently Head of Movement at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham City University, and was previously Course Director for Dance at Coventry University. Her work focuses on process within artistic making, ethical approaches to teaching and interaction, and is informed by the Slow Movement. She is curious about the point at which a practice or activity becomes art.
