AUTHORS: Keith MillerKeith Miller has worked in the heritage field for many years as an archaeologist and landscape and buildings historian, in county archaeological services, university adult education departments and, since 1999, as an Inspector of Ancient Monuments for English Heritage. After many years working in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, he now manages the conservation of sites and buildings in South West England ranging from the Old Stone Age to the present day, work that he sees as ‘trying to creatively manage change in historic sites and places so that they can continue to nourish communities and the wider environment’.
He first encountered movement work in the 1980s as part of his Satipatthana mindfulness meditation practice with teacher John Garrie Roshi then went on to study with Sandra Reeve, and has been practising Joged Amerta Movement with Suprapto and fellow Amerta practitioners since the 1990s. A keen artist and musician, for several years Keith and his wife Kristina Bourdillon have been running movement workshops, with Simon Slidders, at Avebury in the UK. Between 2007 and 2012 Prapto led the summer workshops at Avebury, which included working sessions at Stonehenge and other monuments in the World Heritage Site, and performances and celebrations of World Environment Day as part of the Amerta-inspired Web Art Garden, see http://www.webartgarden.com Email Keith |
