AUTHORS: Imogene NewlandDr Imogene Newland is a British researcher/practitioner specialising in interdisciplinary
performance.
Originally trained as a pianist, Imogene became interested in the intersection between choreographic practices and musical gesture in 2003. She has subsequently formed a series of practice-led works that address the intimate and intensely physical relationship between music and the body. In 2011 Imogene completed her practice-led PhD at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast. She has presented her original performances at, amongst others, the Arnolfini, Bristol, the Klankkleur Festival, Amsterdam and Ars Electronica, Linz. http://www.imogene-newland.co.uk/ |
