Ellin Krinsly entered the world of Joged Amerta with Suprapto Suryodarmo in Java in 1992. The subsequent training and inspiration have led to intercultural collaborations and performances in Java, Bali, Sulawesi, Mexico, Mongolia and Australia.
She gained a Masters of Theatre in Intercultural Performance based on ongoing collaborations and performances with theatre artists from Sulawesi. Many of the performances were created and performed in the natural environment and were influenced by myths or rituals.
She is currently living in Sydney, New York and Mexico and volunteering at a small community in southern Ethiopia with her partner, Arie van Duijn.
