AUTHORS: Damian Ruth
Damian Ruth is a senior lecturer in strategy at Massey University, New Zealand. After working as a journalist, editor and consultant, he became an academic development practitioner in the management sciences, and has lectured organizational psychology, research methods, human resources, and, since joining Massey in 2002, strategy. He has taught in several universities in different countries.
Recently his focus has been on the role of universities and higher education, management education and development and particularly the use of art and design in developing strategic thinking, organization studies, and strategy. In the last ten years he has published over 30 refereed publications plus 37 other publications, received a teaching award, and research awards, grants and Fellowships. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia.
His current work centres on the use of the arts and design in personal development and strategic thinking and non-traditional arts-based inquiries into organizational culture. In 2013 he won the Richard Buchanan Teaching Excellence Award in recognition of his enthusiasm, energy and commitment to finding innovative ways of teaching students.
So far, we've only managed to publish a few of his poems (list on the right) on our website. But we hope for more good things.
