Bettina Neuhaus is an Amsterdam-based dance artist, choreographer and teacher. Her performative and choreographic work centres around Instant Composition including international collaborations with dancers, musicians, visual artists, poets and philosophers. In addition to being a prominent improviser, she creates performative installations and lecture-demonstrations. Her artistic projects investigate the relationship between the tangible, multi-sensorial dancing body with its inherent imagination, intelligence and poetry and its social and ecological context.
Bettina is a certified Skinner Releasing Teacher at both Introductory (2004) and Ongoing (2011) Levels and holds a master’s degree in Creative Practice (Dance Professional Pathway) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in partnership with Independent Dance, London. Alongside her artistic practice she teaches Instant Composition and SRT extensively at major academies, festivals and studios across Europe and South America.
