"It's time to pull up a stool by the front door and tell the story before the historians arrive." Gabriel García Márquez 1992 Prapto’s first workshops in the UK. His only request was to be able to work with a group which was already established, or could be established, for this specific purpose. From 15th – 23rd May, the Colleague Group (org: Helen Poynor, Ad Brugman, Sandra Reeve), and from 24th May-3rd June, the Movement and Communication group (org Sandra Reeve) which by the end of the workshop became “The Circle of Fire”- a name given by Prapto - met on the English/Welsh border of the Black Mountains in Herefordshire and worked both there and in Longtown and Lower Maes-coed. 1993 (1st Sharing Time in Cologne, Germany 4th-10th June. Org Healing Theatre – Michael Dick and Gunter Heitzmann - under the title of Kultur Kontact.) Some members of the Colleague group and the Circle of Fire attended the gathering. They took to Cologne a stone from the Mountain, selected by Bill Ball, a member of the Colleague group. Helen Poynor offered a workshop session and Tim Jones a performance. Philip Jones gave a presentation and the Circle of Fire offered a work in progress. 20th-29th July, London, RADA/Hampstead Heath (org Katya Bloom). 25th July, First visit to Stonehenge with Prapto, Colleague group and Circle of Fire supporting London group (org Sandra Reeve). Workshop with Prapto between Honiton and Uplyme, Devon/Dorset (org Helen Poynor). October Sandra Reeve and Bill Ball invited everybody who had worked with Prapto in the UK in the previous two years to meet together to establish a Movement Network to share our practice and our personal experience of it. From then on a Newsletter was set up. Meeting to discuss ideas for the second Sharing Time in Solo, Java (Kate Pyper, Madhu Anhes, Bill Ball and Caroline Hassler), London. Working towards sending a collective contribution to Java. Isabel Moros suggested to the group a celebration of the landscape and Jenna Kumiega talked about a Culture Box. Video recordings made by Mala Sikka, Geo Legorreta and Sandra Reeve. “Sharing Movement in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales” map for Sharing Time in Lemah Putih, Mojosongo assembled by Emer Heavey, Bill Ball, Ann Gillespie, Kate Pyper, Kate Coombs and Jan Howarth, and taken to Java by Bill Ball as a collective offering from the U.K circulation. Launching of the Blossoming in Europe programme as a wheel of workshops connected to specific sites and practices in order to allow the circulation to grow, develop, and exchange.
